Maligayang Pasko Mula sa Kiwanis

Kiwanis Club of Laguna Gems (KCLG) of Division IV-B, Philippine Luzon District, in Partnership with Chairman Norvic Solidum and the Sangguniang Barangay of San Vicente, San Pedro Laguna, hosted a "Christmas Kiddy Party" for 200 children ages 12 years old & below at San Roque Elementary School, San Pedro, Laguna on December 29,2009.

The Program started with a prayer by kwn. Gina Castillo followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Unmindful of the heat, unmindful of the fact that just a couple of months or so, these kids were hanbering for these sweet little joys. Amid their flood stricken homes, these kids happily participated in the games, enjoyed the meriendas of hamburger and fruit juice, xcitedly received toys and played with the Jollibee mascot.

Each KCLG members present, were tasked to assist in the distribution of food and toys, see to it that everyone got his/her share. The merry amking lasted for more than two (2) hours with 200kids going back to their homes, their temporary shelter, the "evacuation center" .

These wonderful christmas sharing made possible with the contributions that came from the phelanthropists kiwanians of Division III of California - Nevada. Hawaii District, Kiwanis Club of il-Am Gledale, KC of Glendale, Kiwanis Club of LA-Canada and Kiwanis Club of Greater Island Park.
